Discs include the 1961 short lived series "the Westerner" starring Brian Keith. Sam Peckinpah known for his unique scenes of drama and especially violence, created this somewhat darker and much more mature Western series of 13 episodes that never quit caught on. You will never find this series elsewhere.
The Westerner is a 1960 Four Star Television Western series on NBC created by Sam Peckinpah. The series stars Brian Keith as Dave Blassingame and features John Dehner as semi-regular Burgundy Smith. The critically acclaimed show ran for only thirteen episodes.
